Making computers accessible for disabled people makes them more usable by everybody. For example, speech synthesis is mandatory for blind people when inmersed in an environment made for sighted people; speech synthesis makes the computers more usable by everybody, it may be most useful for young children when they are just learning to read, and may used a computer for various tasks.
