[edit] Official recognition of free educational software

Official agencies, ministeries of education become increasingly aware of existing educational free software projects, some of them have recieved official approvals :

• INDIRE (Italy)
• RIP (France)

Depending on the projects the nature of the collaboration is different. Some collaborations are oriented toward pedagogical contents designed for the software, other are user documentation contributions or material to be integrated in the software itself. As well the used language may be different depending on the users community.
